THE FOUNDER

Gail Evenari has worked in the fields of education and media for nearly five decades. In addition to teaching for many years, Gail researched, wrote and designed Social Studies textbooks for major publishers, including Houghton Mifflin, Scott Foresman, Addison Wesley and Harcourt Brace. Her background in education and research led to making films about indigenous cultures for public television and organizing service and cultural immersion trips with teens to Mexico, Israel and France. In her all her work–curriculum, films and adventures–Gail strives to deepen understanding of other ways to live in the world. Her current projects combine her expertise, experience and passion for inclusiveness. World Wise builds multi-platform opportunities for fostering empathy and global competence in kids, and The Future of Normal raises public awareness of neurodiversity, a perspective that recognizes and embraces cognitive differences. She lives in Northern California.
